While camping in Colorado Springs, we stayed at Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort.
Camp Sites
The sites are spacious. We had a pull through site which was more than enough space to fit our 38 foot RV and our tow vehicle.
Our site (#37) had a large area for the picnic table and fire pit. There was no grass, but we didn’t have an issue with that.

The roads in the campground are wide. So, maneuvering to your site is easy. There are hills in the campground, however all the sites seem to be close to level.

Campground Amenities
There is a nice playground with slides and swings. Our three year old, Camille, approved of the play area. 🙂

Mountaindale is pet friendly. There is a fenced in dog park. Although, we didn’t use it since we have cats.

There is a camp store and lounge area in the main building where you check in. The store is small but adequate, with snacks and beverages for sale.
We went to the lounge twice. On Saturday night, they had an ice cream bar with ice cream and lots of toppings. And, on Sunday morning (which happened to be Father’s Day) they served a nice breakfast with really good waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties.

Mountaindale also has laundry facilities and a hot tub, which we didn’t use.
Location
The location of this RV camp site is southwest of Colorado Springs. The downside is that it takes about twenty minutes to drive to town. And, since the campsites are in the mountains and far from town, the cell reception is terrible.
What I really like about the location is that it makes for an easy 40 minute drive to Colorado Springs attractions like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. And, it’s about a 50 minute drive to the Cañon City attraction, the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park.
Conclusion
We liked Mountaindale RV Resort for camping in Colorado Springs CO. We would camp here again.

How are you carrying your bikes. Is the carrier on the motorhome or the tow vehicle?
